Virtual Services
We offer the same ranges of services virtually as we do in person, with the exception of the fact that you do the physical work, and we can't take away donations on your behalf:
Virtual Supportive Decluttering
Virtual Organizing
Virtual Quick Fix
Virtual Catch-up Sessions
We also offer Virtual Body Doubling - see below.
What are virtual decluttering and organizing?
Instead of coming to your home, I meet with you by video call. During our sessions, I'll help you decide what to tackle, break the project into manageable steps, answer questions, help you make decisions, and keep you moving forward. You do the physical work during, and ideally in between, our sessions.
As we work together you will learn and practice important decluttering and organizing skills which will help to prevent the clutter from coming back!
What is virtual body doubling?
Body doubling is a productivity tool that helps many people start and stick to tasks. Basically, your body double, me, is there with you (virtually, in this case), while you work, but they don't help or provide direction. Their presence is what helps to keep you focused and on track.
During virtual body doubling sessions, we start with a brief check-in on what you plan to work on, and then we each work on our own tasks with occasional touch-points.
What can I work on virtually?
Most things that a professional organizer could help you with in person, they can also support you around virtually. For example, you could work together on:
And of course, virtual organizing works great for projects that don't require someone physically present, such as organizing digital files, email, photos, or other information.
What would be different from in-person organizing?
That’s an excellent question, and there definitely are differences to take into account. Here are a few to consider:
First, you would need to do all of the physical work of organizing. If you have physical limitations that would make this difficult for you, you could have a friend or family member there with you to help.
Second, progress tends to be slower. This is because, even if you have a helper with you, there will only be one person working rather than two, and that person won’t have the skills and experience that your professional organizer does. Virtual organizing sessions also tend to be shorter (1 to 1.5 hours in length). We can speed things up by meeting more frequently, if desired.
Third, it is more important with virtual organizing that you continue working on decluttering and organizing beween sessions, especially if you don’t want more than one session per week. You can still make progress only working during your sessions, but the results will come more quickly if you work a bit on your own as well. Your organizer will be happy to suggest simple things you can do to keep up the momentum.
Fourth, you will likely learn more decluttering and organizing skills, since you’ll be doing the actual work yourself! With an in-person professional organizer it can be easier to sit back and let them do the thinking. With virtual organizing you’ll get more practice at decision-making and organizing skills that you can use long after your sessions are finished.

Virtual decluttering and organizing could be a great fit for you! Can you check all of the following boxes?
Why not give it a try?
It also doesn’t have to be one or the other! Some people have both in-person and virtual sessions, depending on their schedules and the project they are working on at the moment.
