We provide in-person supportive decluttering and organizing in Toronto and area.
Virtual decluttering and organizing are available anywhere you have an internet connection!
We start with a phone conversation, to talk about what kind of support you are looking for. I may ask to see pictures of your home. An in-person assessment may be arranged, but is not always needed.
After the initial call, if you are ready to work with me, we will set up a first session.
First in-person sessions are usually 3 to 4 hours in length. First virtual sessions are usually 1.5 hours in length.
During the first session we will talk about your goals and I will provide some recommendations. Then we will decide together how to proceed before we will dive in to the process.
For in-person sessions, I usually work side-by-side with my client, supporting and guiding them as we declutter and organize together. Some clients prefer to be less involved, only making key top-level decisions at specific points in this process. This streamlined approach involves less client time, and is generally faster, but does require a willingness by the client to entrust the organizer to make the majority of decisions independently.
For virtual sessions, I coach, teach and provide support and encouragement. You (or someone you have with you) do the physical work.
We always go at the client's pace, including respecting their need to reflect (when desired) in order to make the right decision.
Further sessions, as needed, are scheduled at your convenience.
My minimum in-person session length is 3 hours, and I generally work longer with my clients who are able.
If you need shorter sessions, why not try virtual decluttering and organizing? These sessions tend to be 1 to 1.5 hours in length.

Not everyone is comfortable with having someone come into their home to help them declutter or organize.
That's where virtual decluttering and organizing come in. I can provide coaching and support via video call, or in some cases over the phone, to help you get started or keep you going! See Virtual Services for more information.

Virtual body doubling is simply having someone “there with you” while you work on a task. We connect by video, decide what you want to work on, and then you get to work while I stay there with you. I’m not doing the work for you or telling you what to do—I’m providing a supportive presence to help you get started and keep going.
Sometimes you know exactly what needs to be done, but somehow you just can’t get yourself to do it. Or you start, get distracted, and wander off to do something else! Having someone there can make it easier to focus, make decisions and keep moving.
A virtual body-doubling session can be especially helpful when the task is something you really need to do on your own, such as sort photographs or private correspondence. Even a short session can help you get unstuck and make progress.
We’ll start by deciding what you’d like to accomplish during the session and, if necessary, break it down into smaller steps. Then you’ll work on your project while I work alongside you virtually, on my own tasks. I’ll check in from time to time, answer questions, help you stay focused and celebrate your progress.
