Supportive Decluttering

Sometimes you may need a little nudge to sort through your things and decide what you really need or want to keep. A professional home organizer can help! Together we will decide where to start and tackle one small area or category at a time. And we will guide and encourage you throughout the process! How much you keep or let go of will be completely up to you. We remove one carload of donations per session. Pick-up of large items and discards can be arranged at client's cost.

Organizing

This step often follows decluttering, since the more things a space holds, the more challenging it is to create order. Organizing is about setting up a space to support its intended purpose. It starts with understanding how you want to use your space, identifying what you need or want to have in the space to make it work, and creating systems for storing your stuff.  Let’s make your home (and/or home office) a Serene Space!

Downsizing or Sharing

Are you moving to a smaller space, or needing to make room for someone joining you in your current space? Either way, you will need to assess your stuff and decide what you can happily or at least comfortably live without, pack some stuff up, and get it out of there. A professional home organizer can help with sorting, packing and carrying away donations. We can also help you re-organize when you’re done!

Room Reassignment

Are you expecting? Or planning to work from home? Or wanting to be able to welcome overnight visitors? Is there a space you'd like to transform to make these or something else possible? We can help you plan the new space, figure out where the stuff currently in the space will go (including maybe 'out'!), and help you make your vision a reality.

Move Preparation, packing and unpacking

Planning a move? We can help with packing ("as is" or with decluttering), as well as with securing boxes, packing materials, tape and other supplies. Please contact us well in advance if you would also like our help with planning the sequence of packing to avoid having to do it all at the last minute. Once you have selected your moving company, we can assist with move management on the day, to help ensure that everything goes smoothly. We are also happy to help with unpacking and with setting up your new home. [Note that we do not do the physical moving of your possessions – the moving company should do that – and we do not disassemble or reassemble furniture.]

Quick Fix

Is there a special occasion or event coming up that’s inspiring you to spruce up your space a bit in short order? We are happy to help with that reset. Are you expecting an overnight guest? We can help you quickly get that spare room in ship shape to host!

Catch-up Sessions

Are you normally pretty organized but get a bit behind from time to time? We are happy to do maintenance, reset and rescue decluttering and organizing to help you reach (or re-reach) your goals.  Sometimes knowing that you have a monthly or quarterly catch-up session planned can help a lot.

Emergency Planning

Would you be ready if you had to quickly evacuate your home in the event of a local emergency or severe weather event? We can help identify what you would need for you and your loved ones to be ready in such an emergency, and assist in creating a ‘Go bag’ for this purpose. 


What if you or your partner were suddenly unavailable or unable to manage your household finances, pay your bills, etc.? Would whomever needed to step in to help easily be able to find the information vital to keeping things afloat? We can help you to create a binder or other system with key information (medical information, account numbers, payment dates, passwords, etc.) to reduce the challenge of household and financial management in your absence.

Personal and Work Filing Systems

Are you overwhelmed by all of the papers you accumulate in your home or home office? Do you have an easy-to-use system for filing and locating what you need, when you need it? If not, we can help. We will work with you to assess your current system and develop a system to help you get (and stay) back on track. We’ll even help with filing! 

Vacation Planning

Let us take some of the stress out of vacation planning by creating tailored packing lists, planning checklists and other documents for you and your loved ones. We can recommend travel tips and accessories and even help you pack!
